Our in-house research + development department is always active in furthering the performance of our existing products and pursuing opportunities with new technologies.
We don’t simply source our materials; we are involved in their development. Kalwall is the only one in the industry to manufacture our own face sheets. We invest in materials science so we can incorporate the most recent gains in knowledge into our products. Our collaboration with scientists, universities, materials vendors and other researchers helps to keep them abreast of how their work affects or could better address AEC community needs. All of this contributes to the Kalwall difference, allowing us to provide the best face-sheet technologies and composite products.

There is no question that every building, and every building product, must be concerned about its impact on our environment.

Sunwall® Facades
Sunwall façades offer unparalleled, high-performance envelope solutions that deliver museum-quality daylight™, minimize solar heat gain and maximize thermal properties. Quadruple-glazed and translucent, featuring sandwich skin FRP technology™, Sunwall is a triple-cavity, insulated, translucent daylighting system designed and detailed in a modern, monolith format. Experience daylighting without compromise.
Sandwich Skin™ FRP
Sandwich skin FRP face sheets utilize a novel glass-fabric reinforcement in combination with Kalwall’s proprietary resin systems for exceptional mechanical properties and environmental performance, including high thermal, structural and impact ratings. Translucent optical properties ensure glare-free, full-visible-spectrum, healthy daylighting is delivered to interiors all year round. This new FRP face sheet is integral to the new Sunwall monolithic facade series.
Kalwall's New EPDs
As part of Kalwall Corporation’s commitment to sustainability, the company has developed EPDs for its façade and roof daylighting systems that have been certified by UL.
