We pair Kalwall® translucent sandwich panels with our lightweight aluminum framing to form a durable, rigid, long-lasting structure that delivers balanced, glare-free daylighting.
The structural integrity of our canopies, awnings and walkways is ideal in any climate, standing up to hurricane-force winds, high snow loads and the most demanding code requirements. Our pre-engineered solutions are ideal for linking buildings or providing protection from the elements at entries and drop-off areas.
Illuminating our translucent canopies after dark creates a marquis effect and provides visual wayfinding by highlighting a building entrance. During the day, our translucent panels create safer entry ways with evenly lit transition spaces. They eliminate shadows which often cause visual confusion and tripping, leading to falls. Further, by minimizing light contrast ratios between inside and outside, our canopies are excellent for visual adaptation, and reduce disorientation, especially important for an aging population or the visually impaired.
Rain and snow are no match for our canopies. Our unique horizontal overlap detail eliminates leaks that plague other systems. Snow guards and gutter systems can be easily integrated. We also offer decorative elements such as radiuses, cables and masts, and struts. Unlike glass options, our low-maintenance translucent panels use natural rainfall to help keep clean and minimize unsightly dirt and debris.

Unitized Elements
Get the best of all worlds by integrating walls with vision glazing, metal panels and more for a fully functional canopy or walkway design.
Grid Patterns
The translucent Kalwall panels within our system can be configured in different grid patterns to add visual interest. Shoji patterns are standard, but we can create some variations of this design.
Face Sheets
Create a streamlined look from building to canopy with panels that can be designed to match multiple aesthetics. Our colors range from standard white or crystal to shades of gray, blue, green and rose.
Colored Inserts
Colored inserts within the Kalwall panels allow you to create the most unique and eye-catching designs for a canopy like no one has seen before.
Finish
Our proprietary aluminum finish (KCRF™) is a high-performance coating that offers both standard and custom color options to match buildings.
Geometries
Shapes and slopes can be customized to ensure your canopy is the perfect extension of your building. Our box-beam structures come in multiple profiles and sizes.
Curves + Arches
Take your canopy from simple to unique with curved panel options, including standard 90-degree and 180-degree vaults. Segmented arches can be an economical way of achieving a curved look.
Decorative Elements
Decorative radiused elements are available as well as cable and mast, struts and more to further enhance your canopy design.
Base Connections
Base attachments are designed to meet specific project requirements. Internal boot connections will be utilized whenever possible. Welded boot covers are also available as an option if external base connections are required by design. See some examples here.
Gutters + Snow Fences
Surface mounted and concealed gutter options can be provided. Integrated two or three bar snow fence options for colder climates are also available.
Panel Overhang
Standard unsupported panel overhangs from 5” to 6”. Custom options available from 0” to 12” depending on project specifications.
